Title Availablility?

Any idea why these titles are so hard to find?

If this was set up to be a message board, there is woefully little communication going on.
If it was just set up to try to sell GAB drafts through AuthorsUnlimited, that didn't work out.
What do you see as the purpose or function of this message board??

book about sapphires?

Hi - I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the title of a book that took place in South America and had to do with sapphires. I remember something about a bicycle ride along the sea, and then breaking into a skyscraper and opening the drawers in the vault to remove the sapphires.

Could you tell me the title and how I could get the book?

Is it true that Rush 929 evolved into The Montana Find?

And what became of that?

Is it true as reported in Variety (7/07/2004) that The Ruddy Morgan Organization (producers of the Oscar winning Million Dollar Baby) are working on getting the GAB screenplay Swish Hitters to the screen?

And what about "The Coterie"?

I've been a fan since I read 19 Purchase Street, donkeys' years ago. But I REALLY love the books about gems... as I'm a Gemologist. No one else writes as authoritatively and accurately about the trade and gemstones. Lightyears ahead of most of the rubbish I've read.

I too am anxiously awaiting the next book. When's it due out???? In the meantime, I'll have to keep myself satisfied with rereading old ones. But, that's ok too!

Well, I just got off the telephone with a close friend to whom I had recommended "11 Harrowhouse." She of course loves it. (This happens all the time; tho hardly ever with such a beautiful woman!) I thought, where is GAB these days? And here I find that not only does he have a website, but that he seems to be an active participant!

Mister Browne, I am sure you won't remember me, but a long time ago, when "18mm Blues" was published, we spent a day together at your house in Scottsdale. (I worked at a bookstore in Mesa. Seeing "He lives in Scottsdale" on the new book jacket of one of my favorite authors got me all revved up to find you, meet you, get you to do a book signing, etc.) We sat by your pool, you introduced me to your amazing wife, and you were generous enough to talk with me all day about your writing, about your methods and history and ideas. I have a 50+ page transcription of that casual interview!

I feel as if that was ages ago. And having been a fan of your books since I was a wee tot, I feel as if I've "known you" for ages, as well! Hanging out with you that day is one of my best "literary memories." It always surprises me to recommend one of your books and have people fall in love with them. What took them so long; how could they not know about this? (My secret!)

Anyway, if you do see this here, I also wonder about what you are brewing up these days.

And, more importantly, I wish you and the wonderful Mrs. Browne a warm and joyful holiday season.

What do you think this new book of his is about?

Gems? I hope!

Maybe he will give us a clue sometime in the near future.
